Last Week in Piedras

It’s a crazy week here in Piedras this week. CPC is hosting 6 groups from all over the United States to build houses as well as one medical team. There are four groups from Georgia, one from Pennsylvania, and one from South Carolina. With 6 houses, all construction staff is having to double up on houses. Pato, Alex, and I all have 2 houses and Matteo is acting as Senior Staff just sorta bouncing around everywhere.

I am working with a group from Mearle’s Inlet, SC that I had last week as well as a group from Pennsylvania that has been coming down for years and years. Both sites are walking distance so I have been walking back and forth between the two sites a good bit during the day.

Today the staff went to dinner at El Norteno (there is supposed to be a tilde on top of the second n.) It is a delicious taco place that was found by Will Betton years ago. Props to Memo on that one.

Tomorrow is a half day and I think we are planning on having a guiso, or cooking out with the guys for lunch. Should be an exciting time!
